DENVER, CO — Certol announced today that ACID Magic® would see a mid-year price increase, the first of its kind in several years. The price increase will take effect July 1, 2008 and is a direct result of increases in raw goods. Some of the materials used to produce ACID Magic have seen up to a 35% increase in cost over the past several months. While the company cannot directly link the cost increases of raw goods to recent increases in freight and fuel, they are suspected to be contributing factors.
Price increase notifications have been sent to customers, but those who do not receive their increases, or who have questions regarding the change are asked to contact customer service at 1-800-843-3343.

LAS VEGAS, NV — ACID Magic® received the Retailers’ Choice Award at this year’s
National Hardware Show. Certol’s flagship industrial product received the prestigious
honor following being nominated among the 1000s of products exhibiting at the annual
show. Held the first week of May, the show is a showcase for products and trends in the
hardware, paint sundries, housewares, and lawn and garden industries.
The Retailers’ Choice Award is given annually to 30 – 40 individual products. Sponsored by Hardware Retailer Magazine, the purpose of the award is to highlight and draw attention to the most innovative and useful products at the show. ACID Magic was chosen because of its versatility and usability. The panel noted the product’s reduced liability to retailers and end users, as well as the fact that it does not rust store shelves. Look for the Retailers’ Choice logo to begin appearing on most ACID Magic literature moving forward.

DENVER, CO — Certol International’s Industrial Division will change the configuration of 16 ounce bottles of Remover Magic® Graffiti Remover effective September 17, 2007. The change is part of Certol’s continuing effort to lower freight costs. The price of each 16 ounce bottle will not change, but the cost of a case will be based on 15 bottles rather than
12 bottles. Orders placed before the September 17th conversion date will continue to be filled using 12 bottles/case and will be billed at the 12 bottle case price. For more questions regarding the conversion, customers are encouraged to call Customer Service at 1-800-THE–EDGE (1-800-843-3343).

DENVER, CO — Certol International’s Industrial Division announces a change in the
configuration of most five gallon containers. To reduce damage in shipping, Certol will
integrate a new square, stackable five gallon drum (shown to the right). The integration
will begin as the supply of the current packaging is depleted. The new design will also
allow customers to purchase more of the containers per pallet. The new pallet holds 32
five gallon drums versus the previous 24 pails. The good news is the improved design
was incorporated without an increase in price of the product.

CHICAGO, IL and DENVER, CO — True Value Hardware Stores announced today their plans to include Certol International’s ACID Magic® in their plan-o-grams, essentially bringing the product into most of its 5,800 stores nationwide. True Value will stock quart and gallon quantities at its independently owned stores. The agreement
marks the first coast-to-coast retail distribution of Certol’s premier industrial product. “We want to change the way people feel about muriatic acid. Before our product, hydrochloric and muriatic acids were seen as effective, yet extremely dangerous.” According to Ed Cassinis, Certol’s President, “ACID Magic is the only full strength acid product on the market that is safe to the skin, and has 1/10th the fumes!”

DENVER, CO — Certol International’s Industrial Division celebrated the end of 2006 with a 17.2% growth in sales over 2005. Much of the increase in sales can be attributed to ACID Magic®, the company’s breakthrough product that is revolutionizing the pool, concrete, marine, and dairy industries— among others —by providing workers with a safe full strength alternative to other noxious muriatic acid products. Remover Magic® Graffiti Remover also saw exponential growth as demand grows for safe and non-toxic ways to remove everything from graffiti to gum —on surfaces as varied as brick walls, playground equipment and convention center floors.
